The 09 Days & 08 Nights Colourful Rajasthan Tour is a comprehensive travel itinerary that covers the vibrant and culturally rich state of Rajasthan, India. The tour begins in Jaipur, the capital city, where you’ll visit iconic landmarks such as the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Amber Fort. From Jaipur, you’ll proceed to Pushkar, a sacred town known for its annual camel fair and the Brahma Temple. Next, you’ll explore Jodhpur, the Blue City, where you’ll discover the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and the vibrant local markets.

The tour then takes you to Udaipur, the City of Lakes, where you’ll visit the City Palace, Lake Pichola, and Jagmandir Palace. You’ll also enjoy a boat ride in the serene Fateh Sagar Lake. The itinerary then continues to Jaisalmer, the Golden City, where you’ll explore the Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, and the local markets.

The tour concludes with a visit to the Thar Desert, where you’ll enjoy a camel safari, cultural performances, and a night under the stars in a desert camp. 01 Arrive in Delhi

Namaste! Welcome to India!
Upon arrival at Delhi international airport T3, a SafeHands Travels representative will assist you at the arrival lounge and accompany you to the hotel.

02 Delhi - Udaipur (Morning flight)

Morning post breakfast will drive to Delhi airport to board a flight for Udaipur.
Udaipur known as city of lakes and one of the most romantic cities of India. Udaipur, because of its location on the south slope of Aravali hills, is much greener and surrounded by several waters bodies like Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake. 
 
Upon arrival at Udaipur airport, a SafeHands Travels representative will assist you at the arrival lounge and accompany you to the hotel.
Check-in at the hotel.
 
Later will proceed to visit the Jagdish Temple of Lord Vishnu built in Indi-Arya style by Maharaja Jagat Singh and finally will visit the Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum which displays the collection of Rajasthani culture and offers insight into the lifestyle of the Royal era in Udaipur. 
Evening: Boat Ride on Lake Pichola (on seat sharing basis- subject to water level)

03 Udaipur - Kumbhalgarh – Jodhpur (Drive 260 km/5 Hrs.)

Morning post breakfast will check out and drive to visit City Palace just beside Lake Pichola. It was built in the 18th century however it was further added by 22 Maharajas till the 20th century, so, instead of just one palace it is a Palace complex. You will also see various styles and architecture as every next king redefined the construction as per his own taste. The crystal gallery, the vintage car museum, Daawat-i-Aam, Daawat-i-Khas, Maharani Palace, and the view of the city and Lake Pichola from the Palace are the major attractions.
Later will continue the drive to Jodhpur.

En-route visit massive, impressive, and one of the strongest Fort built by Rana Kumbha. The fort is surrounded by 13 mountain peaks and seven gates stong enough to safeguard from the enemies. There are several Jain temples more than 300 and many Hindu temples. The history of Kumbhalgarh is just about the bravery of its kings and soldiers but also the several sacrifices including one of the most prominent sacrifice of maid Panna Dhai, who sacrificed her own son to save the life of Price Udai Singh who later became the king of Udaipur. Post-fort visit will drive pass to some villages.
Later drive to Jodhpur, also known as blue city & Sun City. Blue because of the fact that most of the houses are painted blue and Sun City due to its year-round bright and sunny weather.

04 Jodhpur

Morning post breakfast will proceed for city tour with your guide. All forts have their unique design, theme, architecture and paintings, however, Mehrangarh Fort is considered as one of the best forts in India.  You will begin your tour by visiting 15th century Mehrangarh Fort. It stands magnificently 400 feet above the city elegantly constructed by Rao Jodha which offers a stunning view of the city from the top of the fort. The huge fort has some interesting points known as Moti-Mahal (Pearl palace), Phool Mahal (Flower palace), Sheesh-Mahal (Mirror Palace) and many more. The palace has a fabulous collection of miniature paintings, musical instruments, costumes, furniture and palanquins.
Next will proceed to visit Jaswant Thada, a comparatively newly marble-carved memorial. It was built at the end of the 19th century in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh and it is known for its impressive architectural landmark.
Evening free for exploring the local market of Jodhpur.

05 Jodhpur - Pushkar (Drive 180 km/04 Hrs.)

Morning post breakfast will check out and drive to Pushkar.
On arrival in Pushkar check in at the hotel.
The afternoon will proceed to visit Brahma Temple, Ghats & and Lake of Pushkar by walking tour.
Amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan, discover a unique gem - Pushkar. Lord Brahma - the creator of the world in a search for his abode on earth performed the supremely spiritual VEDIC YAGNA at Pushkar. It is thus the site of the only Brahma Temple in the world. Blessed with cultural blends it is the venue for the famous Pushkar Fair with people coming from all over Asia to buy and sell cattle of breeds from across the world. A city of pilgrimage from time immemorial with over 500 temples and ghats - Pushkar begets a legacy of timeless architectural heritage.
Later back to the hotel.

06 Pushkar – Jaipur (Drive 140 km/3 Hrs)

Morning post breakfast will check out and drive to Jaipur.
On arrival in Jaipur will check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon will proceed for visit Birla Mandir, which is a grand immaculate temple, also called as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built with finest quality of white marble, the temple has beautiful paintings dating to the mythological India. By the evening will return to hotel and after freshen up will enjoy our dinner along with live performance of Rajasthnai dance show.
Later back to the hotel.

07 Jaipur Sightseeing

Today will start our sightseeing at around 8.00 am and proceed first to Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), its beautiful 5 storeys façade having Jharokhsa (Smalls window) just besides the market road so your vehicle wouldn’t stop for more long and quickly clicks your photos and proceed to Amer Fort. 
Upon arrival at Amer Fort, a large number of approximate 300 + elephants will be queued to offer rides to tourists. Please note, it would be bit crowded and surrounded with hawkers therefore be careful and ignore them. Approximate 700 meter ascending elephant ride is fully safe and you can enjoy your ride to reach uphill. Like other fort this fort too a large fort and you can see the Hindu architecture in the building. 
Next will visit City Palace, the part of palace is converted into the museum and part is still a Royal residence and only museum part is open for public to visit. Next to Palace will visit the impressive Jantar – Mantar, which is an observatory containing 19 astronomical objects dating back to the time of Rajput King Sawai Jai Singh. It is world famous for its sundial along with other astronomical objects. This UNESCO world heritage site also includes brass and stone instruments.
Your Jaipur tour will be incomplete if you don’t visit the local markets not for shopping but to experience and live the local life for a while, the colorful market, people and Indian handicrafts will be fascinating and pose you some magnificent shots to capture in your camera. It would a good idea to spend some time here and as souvenirs you can buy handicrafts or cloths however I do not recommend you to buy any expensive items as it’s not guaranteed.

08 Jaipur – Agra (Drive 240 km/05 Hrs.)

Morning post breakfast will drive to Agra, once the capital city during the Mughal period and the hosting city of three UNESCO sites Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and Taj Mahal itself describes the glory of the city.
On arrival check in at the hotel.
After some rest and freshening up or if you are hungry, you have your lunch and by afternoon will go to visit 11th century Agra Fort, a famous walled city and one of the most grandeur forts of India. As you know it was the Mughals who had laid Agra its capital therefore in the fort architecture you will see mostly the Mughal influence, Different Mughal empires ruled from this fort and beautified it as per their choices and preferences. Approximately 75 % of the fort is closed for tourists due to military establishment and even the remaining portion is huge so be prepared for some long ascending walks. 
 In the evening will again visit Agra Fort to watch not to Miss “Light and Sound Show” explaining the love story of Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, The show is organized by the Department of Tourism and it takes place every day in two languages English and Hindi at two different timings. The entire event is dramatized so beautifully that people don’t want to blink their eyes.

09 Agra – Delhi (Drive 210 km / 05 Hrs.)

We will start our day by exploring the Taj Mahal, (Closed on Friday) at Sunrise, this beautiful monument looks most beautiful when golden Sun rays create magic on the white marble dome. The entry gate to the Taj Mahal opens at Sunrise with a long queue during morning hours therefore we will reach at least 30 minutes before sunrise to be there on time to get the best glimpse of the Taj Mahal. (Note: two months December and January due to thick fog you might not get the sunrise and except for your passport & and camera nothing is allowed inside even water You will get along with the tickets so don’t carry anything). To protect the monument from pollution our vehicle will be parked around a  km before and from there either we can walk or have a Tanga ride or we can also have the battery bus. Taj Mahal is built in a huge complex and it would take around two hours to visit and then return to the hotel to have our breakfast.
After post breakfast will continue the drive to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi, In case you are interested in some last-minute shopping by evening will organize a farewell dinner before we go off to each other we would be happy to know and discuss your experience about the India tour.
