The South India tour is a 11-day, 10-night package that starts in Madurai and ends in Trivandrum. The trip includes visits to historical and cultural sites such as the Meenakshi Amman Temple, Nayaks Palace, Rameshwaram Temple, Dhanushkodi, Periyar National Park, and the Chinese fishing nets in Cochin. The package includes daily breakfast, accommodation in 3-star or 4-star hotels, and all government taxes. The package does not include flight or train fare, guide and entrance fees, meals except for breakfast and dinner on the houseboat, and personal expenses. Highlights of the trip include a visit to the world’s largest bird sculpture at Jatayu Earth’s Center, a houseboat ride on the backwaters of Alleppey, and a trek in the forest area of Thekkady. Tour Plan
Your trip starts today with the flight to Madurai from Jaipur.
On arrival at airport you will meet with your driver in the arrival hall with your name placard.
Later you will drive to hotel. On arrival you will check-in at the hotel.
Evening leisure at the hotel.

Morning post breakfast you will start your day to explore from the historical & legendary city of Madurai & proceed to visit the famous
Meenakshi Amman Temple with attractive Gopurams and the old city market around the temple after Darshan visit Nayaks Palace a
beautiful historical palace with nice architecture & an interesting museum.
Later visit the local market & evening is free for own activities.
Overnight at the Hotel.
After breakfast you will start your 3 hours drive to Rameshwaram and after arrival check in to the hotel & leave for Rameshwaram Temple darshan, a prominent Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva & feel the spirituality of this place. Later if you wish you can visit other temples i.e. Ramjharoka temple & Kothandarama swamy temple.
Evening is free for own activities.

After breakfast start the day excursion to DhanushKodi. The town of Dhanushkodi is believed to be the place where lord Rama had
ordered Lord Hanuman to build a bridge which carry his army across Sri Lanka where Ravana kept Mata Seeta. Enjoy the scenic beauty of this place & after visit back to Rameshwaram.

After early breakfast we will start the day from the hotel and get ready for a
long drive to Periyar or Thekkady which is being considered as the paradise on earth. Surrounded by the fertile land of spice, tea & coffee plantations .
Thekkady is a must visit on your south India trip. You will be driving upto
1000 meters in western Ghats mountains and enjoy your picturesque drive
which is an unique experience itself.

Thekkady is a dream destination for adventure travellers and Nature lovers
alike. The region is also home to the richly bio-diverse Periyar Tiger Reserve
after breakfast start your boat ride at Periyar lake & enjoy the beauty of this
national tiger reserve.Wild boar, sambhar, wild bison, elephants & even tigers can be spotted on this safari . Later enjoy visit of the spice platation in
Thekkady.
Evening is free for shopping & own activities.
You can enjoy your leisure breakfast and the beauty of the nature.
After that you will be taken to one elephant camp to enjoy the elephant
activities. You can also decide to go for a trekking in the forest area to enjoy
the place with wild animals.
Rest of the day you can spend at leisure.

Post breakfast you will be driven to Alleppey which is rightfully called the
Venice of the East. With its labyrinth of brackish lagoons and interconnected
lakes, Alleppey or Alappuzha is no less than the famous European city -
neither in beauty nor in history and culture.
Enjoy your houseboat ride on the backwaters after your houseboat cruise
drive further to Cochin. (on direct payment basis)

After breakfast visit important city parts of Cochin with St. Francis church & the Chinese fishing nets. Also visit Dutch palace &
pardesi synagogue.
Later you can visit to wonderla amusement park and enjoy your day.

After early breakfast driver will take you to Jatayu rock in
Chadayamangalam , you will certainly get mesmerised with
Kollam’s latest tourist attraction, the Jatayu Earth’s Center that
hosts the world’s largest bird sculpture. Spanning over 65 acres
across four hills.
The monumental statue of Jatayu resting high up the hill catches
your attention even from afar on your way to Chadayamangalam
in Kollam district. Jatayu is a legendary bird from the Indian epic
Ramayana & here you will visit the largest bird statue in the
country.
After sightseeing drive to Trivendrum & on arrival check-in to the
hotel.

Post breakfast your driver will take you to Sri Padmanabh swami temple in
Trivendrum.
